Navigating Your First Steps

Congratulations on being accepted to North Idaho College! Starting college can be overwhelming, but we're here to help you every step of the way. Learn how to set up your student account, activate your email, schedule advisor appointments, and prepare for placement exams with ease.

2. Sign up for SOAR

New students must attend a Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR) Session.

Sign up now to reserve your spot!

*Check back after March 1st to easily register for SOAR sessions.

*If you are a Late Start Spring 2026 student, contact Advising services at advising@nic.edu or call (208) 769-7821.

After signing up for the Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR), please complete all of the following important steps (Steps 3, 4, and 5) to ensure you can register for classes at your session.

5. Submit Documents

In addition to your application, we may need official documents from you.

Certain programs may require additional documentation not listed below. Check your MyNIC My Documents for requested items.

Official documents can be mailed to: North Idaho College, Cardinal Central, 1000 W. Garden Ave., Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814 or emailed to cardinalcentral@nic.edu.
